The wisdom of Rumi
In the sidebar you’ll see a number of love poems and quotes that I find really lovely. One of them is by the great poet Rumi:
Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.
This past year has been a struggle, love-wise. I found myself repeating a number of un-helpful patterns that tended to push love away instead of bringing it into my life. I’ve spent the past several months examining these patterns and trying to break them. Unfortunately, I’ve angered a few of my demons in the process, and now they’re pushing back. 
The good news is that I’ve been presented with an opportunity to “seek and find the barriers” I’ve built against love. In a couple of weeks I’ll be meeting with a professional matchmaker, a hypnotherapist, and a life coach, all of whom work for a start-up matchmaking company. The company hired me to write web content, and amazingly, they want me to go through their program so I can do a better job writing about it.
Is life amazing or what?
I’ve already started a list of things I want to work on with the life coach and hypnotherapist. This should be fun!!!
