Media Hits: ABCNews.com, etc.

Well, the AP story is live, and has been picked up by at least three five ten (and counting) media outlets so far, the largest being ABCNews.com.

Many thanks to Peter Shankman, whose Help A Reporter Out mailing list connected me with Associated Press reporter Megan K. Scott in the New York Bureau; to Megan, for being so persistent in working around my insane schedule to get an interview; and AP photographer Al Behrman, who drove up from Cincinnati in a snowstorm to photograph me for the story.

And thanks to you, if you happen to be reading this as a result of reading the story.  :)

Media Hits so far…

The Herald News, Fall River MA

Lethbridge Herald, Lethbridge, Alberta Canada

ABCNews.com

WRAL.com, Raleigh/Durham/Fayetteville

Netscape Celebrity (definitive proof that the word “celebrity” is bestowed far too easily)

Can’t find it on line but your article made it way out west to the Columbian Newspaper, Feb. 17,2009 in Vancouver, Washington….directly across the Columbia River from Portland, Oregon.

Though I’m not in the dating scene, my sister is and is currently traveling the online dating path. I had to share your article with her and your blog. What a kick you are. I wish you luck!

    Thanks, Cindy!

It’s amazing how many media outlets picked up that story. I stopped counting at two dozen. :)

Very best wishes to your sister in her own search for True Love!

I find you funny and refreshingly honest. I hope you have luck finding your man!

Thanks a bunch, Rachel! It certainly had generated a lot of interesting emails…for the most part they’ve been pretty positive. :) The article has now also appeared in the Washington Times and San Jose Mercury News. The mind boggles!
